REGULAR MEETING

Date: February 1, 2007

Present: Gerard Chartier, Michael Vincent, Daniel Burns, Timothy Lippert, Alan Rockmore, Planning Board Members; Carol Crounse, Town Board Liaison

Guests: Eleanor Giebitz, Joyce Abele, Bill Berdan, Paul Giebitz, Tim Lynch, Lisa Mann.

The meeting was called to order by Gerard Chartier. The minutes from the last meeting of January 18, 2007 were reviewed. A motion to accept the minutes was made by D.B. and seconded by M.V. All were in favor.
Mr. John Crosier turned over the stamp the new chairperson.
Introductions of our new board members Alan Rockmore and Tim Lippert were made by Gerard Chartier.


REGULAR MEETING:

ABELE: 2015 Switzkill Road, Berne, New York
-Application for a special use permit for a quilters retreat.

-The quilters retreat would be for four people who would stay over and quilt during one to two weekends a month.
-There could be a sign at some point; the sign may only be used on certain weekends.
-Advertise at quilt shows or quilt shops.
-Parking spaces available -5 spots
-Existing area –approx. 500sq feet.
-Board Home occupation yes or no.
- DB yes
- TL yes
- MV yes
-Guidelines read by G.C. (see attached)
-Site visit planned on February 17th 10:00am
-Recommend a sketch plan of the space after the site visit has been done.

PARIS:
-Subdivision Minor (Glen Paris Subdivision)

- Mr. Paris will be selling the homestead with additional acreage.
-Proposed 61.74 new lot consisting of parcel 1, parcel 2, and proposed lot 2 and proposed lot 3.
- 15.56 Proposed lot 2
- 33.86 Proposed lot 3
- 7.31 Parcel 2
- 5.01 Parcel 1
- Two existing lots are already deeded.
- The proposed lots need to be reviewed several times due to the vast area of the subdivision.
- The road frontage, line dividers, pin markers, etc, will be reviewed.
- Mr. Berdan will meet with the planning board as needed.

MINING PERMIT:
-Helderberg Bluestone

- Mr. Paul Jeffers (Code Enforcement Officer)
Special use permit with the Town of Berne
Permit with DEC 10 years in total
At this time the permit is in accordance with all stipulations.
The fence is up and the one entrance is being used.

- The planning board advised Mr. Geibtz to go before the Town Board; permit is in compliance per Mr. Jeffers. A review of the escrow account and any possible charges that need to be made to it.

LYNCH: Airport Road
No longer will be pursuing the property on Airport Road, will still be looking for property. Not able to get business proposal, property, environmental concerns, and funding.

PITCHER: Pitcher Lane
No new information at this time.
The board advised the secretary to call Mr. DeMis and Mr. Pitcher on the status of the updated survey and the Albany County Health Department.

ANTHONY: East Hill Road, Parcel Id No. 112-1-27

A letter received from the Town of Broome, in regards to current activity on the property and applications before their board.
