Town of Berne
2008 Berne Family Day--July 19 |
The Town of Berne will hold its 2008 “Berne Family Day” on July 19th at the Berne Town Park, 1883 Helderberg Trail. Free to Berne residents, donations accepted.
- 10th annual running of the Fox Creek 5K Roadrace at 8AM, with day of race registration starting at 7AM.
- Fiddle music by Tunefolk
- Refreshments and awards
- Garage sales, tag sales
- Lunch and dinner menus are being offered by various town nonprofit organizations during the day.
- Family and youth oriented activities will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Town Park, with the Friends of the Berne Library providing food and refreshments as a fundraiser.
- Family Dance (contra dance) will take place under the park pavilion with the tremendously popular Paul Rosenberg calling traditional circle, line and square dances for young and old, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, accompanied by Tamarack (Tunefolk + 1).
- Fireworks at dusk bring an end to the day.
