NOTICE TO
TOWN OF BERNE RESIDENTS
DOG ENUMERATION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Town of Berne will be conducting a dog enumeration (census) beginning July 15, 2011. As required by Article 7 of New York State Agriculture and Markets Law, any dog 4 months of age or older must be licensed in the local Town where they are being harbored. All dog(s) should be licensed at the Town Clerk's Office (872-1448) or remit by mail to PO Box 57, Berne, NY 12023 and include the following:

Rabies certification from the veterinarian
Spay or neuter certificate
Check payable to Town of Berne Town Clerk
The fees prior to enumeration per dog are as follows:
Neutered/Spayed $5.00
Unneutered/Unspayed $13.00
Once the enumeration begins, an additional enumeration fee of $25.00 for any unlicensed dog will be charged.
